Oh, blessed, blessed Christmas,
The stars were shining bright,
But there was one outstanding
Upon that holy night.
Its radiant beams were shining
Upon a lowly manger bed
Wherein there lay the Christ Child,
A pillow of hay for His head.

The night of Jesus' birth;

Christ, the one tru light,
Resting in the promise
Of that most holy night.
